SIERRA LEONE: SLLCA Director of Skills pays Courtesy Call on Kissy Trading Company Ltd

The Director of Employment, Training and Skills Technology Transfer of Sierra Leone Local Content Agency (SLLCA), Michael Jack Muana on Wednesday January 4, 2023 paid a courtesy visit at Kissy Trading Company Ltd, Queen Elizabeth Bay in Freetown.

The purpose of the visit was to inspect the operational facilities of Kissy Trading Company Ltd, and to explain the mandate of the Agency.

Director Muana who also sit in the Work Permit Committee meeting at the Ministry of Labour explained the relevance of work permit, and encouraged the foreign workers to always renew their work permits whenever its expires.

Director Muana explained that one of the mandates of the Agency is to ensure that first consideration is given to Sierra Leoneans, noting that Sierra Leonean staff should be given managerial positions in company.

He therefore encouraged the Company through their experts to prioritize skills transfer so that the. Sierra Leonean workers will gain the requisite skills needed in the Company thereby increasing their productivity and efficiency which will enable them to occupy management positions.
